20th - 21st March 2010 – 4th National Garden Railway Convention. Fernridge Scool, Upper Plain Road, Masterton, New Zealand. Garden railway visits, workshops on maintenance, tracklaying and scratchbuilding. Dinner on Saturday night, morning and afternoon tea plus lunch provided. 10th April 2010 – The Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers National Garden Railway Show 2010 Hall 2, National Agricultural Centre, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire CV8 2LZ. 10am-5pm. Prices remain unchanged from last year. £5.00 (in advance) £8.00 (on the door) Juniors under 18: Free. twelve layouts expected; Dixon Green Light Railway, Birches Barn extension, Phurcombe Hall Vintage Loco Layout and Display (including the Don Boreham Collection), Merioneth Town (part of the Don Boreham Collection featuring vintage locos), Ttarrag Shed (16mm Garratt Operators Association), Ridgmont, Nant Mawr, Westfield, Indian Hills, G-Scale Society Publicity Stand demonstration layout, County Donegal Railways (45mm), Timpdon Lakes. Nearly 70 traders booked to attend. This is the major 16mm scale narrow gauge railway modelling event of the year and the largest of its type held in the UK. Refreshments available in the adjacent restaurant. Snacks and drinks available in the hall. 24th April 2010 – G-Rail 2010 The Harvey Hadden Sports Complex, Wigman Road, Bilborough, Nottingham, NG8 4PB. Members admitted free. Non-members, £4.00 (refunded if you join the Society) 10am-5:30pm. Various 45mm gauge G-scale layouts featuring a mixture of 2-rail electric and steam power, plus a couple of 16mm scale 32mm gauge layouts. Full trade support with G scale and 16mm traders. 1st – 3rd May 2010 – The 33rd Annual Brisbane Model Train Show This is a great day out for the family and the model railway enthusiast with interactive displays for children as well as demonstrations of wagon and building assembly for the enthusiast.
