It’s that time of the month again – the latest issue of MW is back from the printers and available to buy now. Or you can save yourself the P&P and pick it up from the Wargames Fever stand at the WMMS show in Wolverhampton on Sunday.
It’s another packed issue, too. The cover story focuses on the ill-fated French intervention in Mexico in the 1860s and is illustrated with photos of the superb figures from the new Gringo 40s range for the conflict. My thanks go to Ged at Gringos for arranging the photo shoot. Other features include my profile of Warlord Games, Steve Eardley’s visit to Old Glory to see figure casting in action, articles on wargaming Sark (1448), Salamanca (1812), Inkerman (1854), Ireland (1921), The Snipe (1942) and Steve’s regular The High Ground column. Gary Mitchell is ‘away’ so our old chum Dave Clubmember has kindly stepped up to deliver this month’s Darker Horizons. Plus book reviews and our nostalgic feature From the Archive.
There’s no rest for the wicked, though. It’s full steam ahead to produce the May issue which will be a 100-page special featuring the full, official and exclusive guide to Salute 2012 so you can plan your visit to British wargaming’s biggest day out. It will be published on 13 April so look out for it!
